Hard Working Day

Today I am NOT happy with blogger, or my computer or something.. it is taking literally hours to upload simple photos.. it is so aggravating! URR.
We have been working really hard around the house today. Tommy, Brandon, Mackayla, and her sister, Dennis, and Mitch have been taking care of wood for the rest of the winter, and even for next winter!
You all KNOW how much I love burning wood!
we have dinner plans tonight, so I must go get ready!
Thanks to everyone who helped us...

Happy Birthday AGAIN, Greg.

Greg had his official birthday dinner last night! Some circumstances didn't exactly turn out as planned, but it was fun anyway! Dennis and I sat at a table with a bunch of people we didn't know... but we liked them very much!
Buffalo Wild Wings was the place of choice!!

My handsome hubby!

This is Greg, Trevor, and Trevor's girlfriend.. Marra. ( i think)
later, Marra's parents came and joined us. They were a lot of fun too!!!
And since Greg's lovely girlfriend Kyndall couldn't be with us, this is Greg talking to his wonderful lady!

I love the color in this photo! I used another source to change it a little because BWW was very dark!
Happy Birthday AGAIN Greg.. I hope
it was the best birthday yet.

I looked like a little kid snapping this shot!

Tonight after class, I looked up... and this is what I found...

It's not really unusual to see the moon out at night.....but I thought that it was neat to see the plane in that picture. In another picture I took you can see the planet closest to the moon on the other side of the plane... but I didn't upload it...

I have learned that wherever I go, Mr. Canon goes... and the reasons are for things like this! Just imagine what people thought when they walked or drove by me downtown and I had a monstrous camera taking a picture of an airplane!!!! :) Yep... I like photography alright!

Crayons, Scissors, Glue... Hard Life!!

You all know.. I am in school to be a cute little Elementary School teacher. I guess I thought that I would get to cut up stuff, practice my cursive, write on a board, read books to children, and well.... act like a third grader.... boy... was I......

You know what I am up to??

All that I mentioned above!!

I am making a little reader autobiography tonight though! Of course there is certainly some UN-fun stuff... but this is pretty dang painless.. almost. I have to write a paper. I guess I will get to that before class starts... Good thing I work well under pressure! So....... I thought that I would show off more Canon practice show off my work so far!

Wanna take a look???

Mr. Photogenic & the Boys

On Sunday night after the Birthday festivities we stopped by Danny & Debbie's to see Darin and Jonathan. Danny & Debbie have known and looked after Dennis since he was really young, and he has kept in touch with them after all of these years. Darin is Danny's son, and Jonathan is a step-brother. (Its complicated) Anyway... we stopped by Sunday.

While the boys hung out in the garage, I pulled out Mr. Canon and practiced on them and other objects!

I took A LOT of pictures of Jonathan (above) because he just took great ones EVERY TIME! So, I kept the camera on him mostly! (He was a good sport!)

This is Darin. (above) He was not such a great sport... I had to be sneaky to get ones of him! :)

I LOVE this. I shot all of these pics with my 55-250mm zoom camera all the way across the room with an ISO at 1600 to keep from using the flash.. and I was pretty impressed with the turn out.

Mr. Photogenic, again!

They had a small little heater outside. . . and so Dennis decided to put ice on it... while he was playing, I was shooting!

Danny (above) He is Darin's dad.....

Mr. Photogenic's pants. I know that this is nothing significant but I so-love the blurry background.....

This is Darin's 4-wheeler sitting still that I somehow managed to make it look like the tires were moving. Darin called it distortion, and I called it art!!!

The three men talking. Looking at what, I don't know.. because I was fixed upon them.

This is Darin looking at me in disapproval!  We haven't those guys in a very long time. So it was nice to be in the company again, and it was nice that I could use them as my photography practice.

It was a "Snow" Day for Me

I always love Snow days. It is up there in my book with Christmas... it is an unexpected, unpredictable day off!!! :) It turned out to be rain, but hey... I will take it!! No pictures... I just wanted to say that I loved it.. and I am trying out this thing that allows me to post into blogger, without actually going into Blogger. kind of neat. I have been doing that awhile through another system, but I am trying another one out too!! So, happy SNOW day to everyone!

** Be sure to watch the video up top. I didn't post anything about it, but it is an AWESOME video!.. Watch it!!!****

Back to the Books!

I am back in school.. and I am downtown every day that I have class. . so it has been a week back officially and things are looking good. It has been a nice, easy process so far. I think that it will be ok! I hope you don't mind Chelsea, but I loved this picture of you and I wanted to post it.

I LOVE this little cafe! It is so good and pretty reasonable priced.

Downtown is one of my favorite places... and I snapped a bunch of photos on my way to the car, and these next few are my favorites!

The point of the photo is the lamp posts and not the Coke plant!!!

Thanks for joining me on my journey to school!!!!

Christmas Day Birthday 173

Do you know what this means now that Greg is 21??? He is old enough to drive an 18-wheeler anywhere in the United States opposed to just the state of Virginia!!!!! Man... we should really make a bigger deal about these 21 year birthdays.. ya know??? Congrats Greg... now go pass that CDL test so you can exercise your new ability to drive a tractor trailer where-ever your little heart desires!

We definitely  have plans to celebrate these birthdays... but for now.. they are being celebrated on here! Happy Birthday You Three!

Pic O' The Day

Please take part and enjoying a wedding scene from 3 years ago!! Can anyone guess which head would be my husbands?? This is his brother Paul. I love this photo.. So take a guess real quick... Is Dennis to the Right or to the left???? .............................
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jeopardy song.... sing it in your head....... keep singing................. just a little longer..............................................................................
Ok!.. Drum Roll please....
Dennis is to the left of this picture closest to the brick wall.
Funny story.. I was late to our own wedding. I drove myself there, and when I got out I prematurely freaked out because I thought that Dennis saw me BEFORE the wedding, when really it was just Paul!!!! They do look very much alike in this picture.

We have a Visitor!

This is Tommy! Everyone say hello! He is going to be staying with us for a little while. This will hopefully going to be a great time of lifting up and teaching. Not only from our side to him, but from him to us! It was great opportunity to lend out a helping hand to him while excercising the command to be hospitable. as Paul says in Romans 12:13 "Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality." so we are! He may be here awhile, or for a short period of time... but we hope that he leaves encouraged and sanctified in his Savior! He will joining us to church for the time being. Please welcome him.
